PMN team conduct media & democracy workshop

A three member team from the Pacific Media Network in Auckland are on the island conducting a week long Media and Democracy Workshop this week.

Pacific Media Network -Multimedia Journalist- Matt Manukuo said their Media and democracy workshop is all about better informing the public about disinformation.

PMN News Director-Samson Samasoni said the sessions have been very informative with participants having a better appreciation for the work journalists do. 

The BCN staff had an informative  session with the team, discussions centered on disinformation and factual news pieces, the impact of social media and the trust that the public has with news outlets. 

Former BCN Journalist-Saraiah Magaoa is also part of the PMN Team. The workshop is supported by the US Embassy.
