World Day of Prayer to be held this Friday

The Alofi Ekalesia Federation of Christian Women led by President of Ekalesia Kerisiano Niue-Mrs Laloifi Salatielu, will hold their World Prayer Day service at 9am this Friday.

The Alofi Ekalesia Federation of Christian Women led by President of Ekalesia Kerisiano Niue-Mrs Laloifi Salatielu, will hold their World Prayer Day service at 9am this Friday. This will also include other villages. 

Services will also be held in the afternoon, the day is focused on the spiritual growth of women.

The World Day of Prayer is an International ecumenical Christian lay women’s initiative celebrated in over 170 countries on or around the first Friday of March. This year’s Motto: Informed Prayer and Prayerful Action.

A different participating country writes the service each year, and this year the WDP book was prepared by the Committee of Cook Islands.

 A world day of Prayer bible study was also held last Wednesday.
