In a landmark initiative to bolster the agricultural sector, the Government of Niue has partnered with the Pacific Horticultural & Agricultural Market Access Plus Program (PHAMA Plus).
According to a Government media release on Monday, the collaboration aims to enhance agricultural resilience by promoting import substitution, value addition, product diversification, and trade facilitation.
A key component of this is the exploration of avocado production in Niue. Renowned horticulturist Stuart Pascoe from Lynwood Nursery recently visited Niue to discuss further with local farmers and government officials

The partnership focuses on empowering local food processors, government bodies, and various market sectors to stimulate both domestic and international trade opportunities.
