Team Niue is secured for another medal this Saturday from Boxer-Duken Williams who qualified for the Finals last night. 

Duken fought in the 81-86 kg division beating Solomon Island’s-Francis Junior Niusara, 5-0. He now prepares to battle Tahiti’s Gabriel Dauphin for Gold.

It will be Team Niue’s second medal after Powerlifter-Samuel Singh won Bronze in his division on Wednesday.

Our Netball Team went down to PNG yesterday-24-90 in their fourth Pool A Match. Their last game will be against Solomon Islands today.

Meanwhile our Men’s Touch Rugby Team lost out in the Bronze medal match on Wednesday to Fiji -2-5. 

Our Women’s Touch Rugby Team played for the fifth spot in the overall standing and won against Solomon Islands 6-1. 

And in the Mix Touch Rugby Tournament yesterday, Niue lost to PNG-3-6, drew against Fiji in a 3 all match and lost to Samoa 6-8. Their next game is against Cook Islands today.

New Caledonia leads the medal tally on the second last day-with 73 gold, 51 silver and 50 bronze.

 The games officially comes to an end this Saturday.
