Weightlifting Equipment’s donated to Alofi Gym
The Gym has also upgraded its floors with rubber tiles and he is encouraging everyone including tourists to make use of the Gym as it is free of charge.
The Alofi Gym run by Alan Tano has been provided with new weightlifting equipment’s .
Tano says the equipment was donated by the International Weightlifting Federation last year. He is s grateful for the new additions of gym equipment.
He said the equipment they’ve had is quite old dating right back to the 2003 Junior Weightlifting Championship that was hosted by Niue.
The Gym has also upgraded its floors with rubber tiles and he is encouraging everyone including tourists to make use of the Gym as it is free of charge.
Tano says they are also in the process of recruiting new lifters.
Meanwhile Tano has confirmed Niue will be hosting the 2024 Oceania Championship in December this year.
