Bombers vs Heavy Hitters kickstart softball on the rock

In efforts to revive softball on the island, the working committee of the sport put together a game at the Paliati school grounds last Saturday afternoon. The two teams that were competing last week were Bombers and Heavy Hitters run under Julie Faitala and Cliff Tautuki.
But the overall champions of the day was left to the Heavy Hitters with 33 points to 14 points for Bombers.
In a Facebook Post last Sunday, Julie Faitala who is one of the leaders of the working committee for softball shared how stoked she was to see the enthusiasm expressed in the game last Saturday and all the interest sparked over recent weeks.
“We’re looking forward to a future with Softball in Niue again,” says Julie.
Julie also expressed how grateful she was to the various sponsors, the working committee, players, and for all the supporters for helping to revive softball on the island.
