Direct Aid Program donates equipment to Hakupu Women’s Group
The Australian funded Direct Aid Program recently was able to donate a projector, projector screen and sound system to the Hakupu Women’s Group
Australian High Commissioner to Niue-Katy Stuart has encouraged all communities or villages on the island to apply for the Australia aid Program Grant application for up to seven thousand dollars that will be available in February next year.
The Australian funded Direct Aid Program recently was able to donate a projector, projector screen and sound system to the Hakupu Women’s Group.
She was grateful to the women’s group for demonstrating how these equipment will assist them.

Meanwhile Stuart expressed her excitement that they now have the Australian flag flying outside their office. She also confirmed that they also now have a staff of four.
The Direct Aid Program (DAP) is a small grants program funded from Australia’s aid budget. It has the flexibility to work with local communities in developing countries on projects that reduce poverty and achieve sustainable development consistent with Australia’s national interest.
