Niuean Boxers Duken Williams and De Niro Pao will feature in the quarterfinals later tonight against Tahiti in their respective category on Day 3 of competition at the 2023 South Pacific Games.
Boxer Keanu Naden lost his fight against PNG’s Kua Gunua Mua-0-5 in the 81-86 kg Male Category.
Our Niue Netball side went down to Cook Islands yesterday-18-72, their next game will be against Vanuatu later today.
Our Men’s Touch Rugby side lost to PNG -1-5 on the second day of the tournament, they won against Cook Islands-7-6 but lost against Fiji-5-8.
Our Women’s Touch Rugby side lost to Cook Islands -1-4 on the second day of competition but won against the Solomon Islands-7-1
And in Powerlifting, Maxine Edwards and Samuel Singh will be competing in their own category.
Meanwhile New Caledonia still leads the medal tally with 67 gold, 41 silver and 42 bronze.
