Alofi north gears up for annual show day

As Alofi north gears up for their annual show day, the women’s club held their handicraft show at the Alofi north hall last wednesday.

Close to 16 women members displayed their woven handicrafts including baskets, place mats, jewellery and hats as well as hand printed materials and colorful bed sheets.

President of Alofi north women’s club  Vainga Tukuitonga  emphasized at the opening the importance of promoting handicrafts as a key income generating project for the women.

The annual showday for Alofi North will be held this Saturday 21st September 2019.
