Cabinet approves new BCN Board of Directors

After months of working without a fully functional Board, the Cabinet was able to approve four new directors for the Broadcasting Corporation of Niue (BCN) Board at a meeting held on the 16th of June. 

The four new directors include Rev. Scanland Mitiepo, Dempster Tomailuga, Inangaro Vakaafi, and Tom Jr Misikea. 

In accordance with the BCN Act 1989, the four directors represent four key sectors. 

Chairman of the Board is Rev. Scanland Mitiepo who represents the interests of the religious sector. 

Dempster Tomailuga of AllStar Motors represents the interests of the commercial and business sector. 

Ms. Inangaro Vakaafi represents the interests of women and Tom Jr Misikea represents the interests of the youth. 

The four new BCN Board Directors replace former Chairperson Ida Talagi Hekesi, Alana Fiafia Rex, Rev. Nuka Tauevihi and Aldric Hipa.
