Cabinet appoints Jerrad Hekau as a Commissioner of the Public Service.

Premier Tagelagi announced last week at the Fono Ekepule, the third public service commissioner is 44 year old Jerrad Hekau of Alofi North(pictured with his wife Shanta).

The former school teacher graduated from Massey University in 2006 with a Bachelors in Aviation Management.

He was the head of the IT department at Niue high school where he taught for 12 years until 2019 when he left teaching to work on his business.

Jerrad and his wife Shanta own ROCKON Events hiring tents and marquees.

Commissioner Hekau will begin his new role in the new year. We wish him well in his appointment.
