Latest travel advisory issued
At its meeting on the 1st September2020, Cabinet approved the following updated travel advisory to take effect immediately:
1)The number of passengers to be limited to the availability of quarantine accommodations with a maximum of 15 passengers per flight.
2)All passengers are required to obtain a COVID test no less than 4 working days prior to departure from New Zealand and provide a negative result (issued by an authorized medical practitioner or similar) before being allowed to board any flight to Niue.
Conditions for travel as from 30th July remain in place.
Weekly flights to Niue will continue with passenger flights every two weeks. Those allowed to travel to Niue are NZ based Niuean nationals, Niuean residents, Niue descendants – which may include spouses and children of essential workers such as diplomats, skilled workers, and special cases in particular the immediate family of members of residents and those who need to travel due to urgent or emergency circumstances. All requests for travel to Niue from any country other than NZ must be authorized by Cabinet before any travel arrangements are made.
These passengers approved to travel to Niue from other countries will be required to quarantine in NZ before arriving Niue and will be required to quarantine for a further 14 days upon arrival in Niue.
