Former Premier medevaced to New Zealand

The former Premier Sir Toke Talagi was medivaced to New Zealand last night for medical treatment.

This has been officially announced by the Premier Honorable Dalton Tagelagi in the Niue legislative Assembly this morning wishing him well in his recovery.

An Air ambulance arrived yesterday evening around 6pm.  Director General of Health and Social Services Gaylene Tasmania confirmed to BCN News the former Premier was airlifted to Auckland Hospital late lastnight.

Sir Toke Talagi has been ill in health and has previously undergone medical treatment in New Zealand.
