Liolau case adjourned to allow parties to meet
The legal case by landowners and the Government’s Project leader of the Liolau accommodation facility which was scheduled to be heard in the High Court on Tuesday last week has been adjourned.
BCN News has been informed that Judge Wilson Isac recused himself from the case due to a conflict of interest with one of the applicants.
The applicant’s representative and the Government lawyers have agreed to meet with the steering committee of the project.
It’s understood that the applicants have indicated they wish to reach a resolution to this matter before the opening of the facility.
Meanwhile, Premier Sir Toke Talagi has told BCN news that the Liolau facility located at the old school grounds in Avatele is expected to be officially open in January next year.
