Staff Shortage in Health Department still a Challenge
The Report states, the department started with 12 nurses in the beginning of this fiscal year but dropped to 6 by January, 2023.
The nurses work 7 days a week to cover the hospital’s 3 shifts.

Yesterday was the final day for training. A short awarding ceremony recognising the completion of the training was held for the Niue police officers presented by NZ High Commissioner to Niue Mark Gibb.
Schedule Blast at Government Quarry Tomorrow
A blast is scheduled to take place at the Government Quarry at Tafalalo tomorrow Thursday 21st March at 12PM to produce rock for the Government of Niue projects.
In a government quarry notice issued last night, roads leading to the quarry will be closed to all traffic and pedestrians 30 minutes before the scheduled blast time.
