Exhibition showcases unique talent

Alofi township was a buzz as the Niue Fitikanai Flower and Wood Carving Exhibition was held last week.

The Niue Tourism Center was a hype of activities as our local women gathered to be part of the Fitikanai Flower Exhibition last Wednesday. About 27 entries was received with beautiful arrangements of flowers on display for the public to view.

Meanwhile, the wood carving exhibition was held at the Niue Market was also a hype of activities as people turned up to support the Matakau Talatalai Niue Group.

Group President-Speedo Hetutu said about 5 wood carvers have their creative wood work on display including students as well.

Minister Sonya Talagi shared on the unique talents of wood carvers on the island and representing Niue in each unique wood pieces that leave our shores.
