ITO Alan Tano Puleosi undergoes final day for weightlifting at the Pacific Mini Games

"Group 1 Team of Officials includes Fiji, Kiribati and PNG with the rest from Australia and President of Northern Marianas Sports Federation," says Alan Tano Puleosi

It wasn’t long ago when Alan Tano Puleosi – a longstanding weightlifting expert of Niue – had arrived Saipan in the Northern Marianas for the Pacific Mini Games 2022.

But earlier this afternoon Mr. Puleosi had shared that it was the final day of weightlifting events (super heavy boys and girls category) for the Pacific Mini Games.

Mr. Puleosi arrived Saipan last Thursday and began his role last Sunday as one of the International Technical Officials (ITO) for weightlifting of the Pacific Mini Games.

“The last session will be on Thursday (Chamorro Standard Time) and that will complete the weightlifting events at this game…Only four of us from the Pacific Islands were invited as ITO for weightlifting and the rest are from Australia and only 2 from NZ,” says Alan.

“Some of us have been invited as International Technical Officials for Weightlifting at the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Birmingham Games next month.”

The closing ceremony will be held on Saturday says Mr. Puleosi.
