Stan Tafatu and Christine Ioane take victory for the Lawn Bowls Singles Finals

The victory winners for the Lawn Bowls singles finals were Stan Tafatu and Christine Ioane. The Niue Lawn Bowls hosted its men’s and women’s singles finals at Fonuakula last Saturday.
For the men’s playoffs were Stan Tafatu and young 14-year-old Tukala Tagelagi. Playing off for the women’s category were Christine Ioane and Joy Peyroux.
Taking the win for the men’s was Stan Tafatu with a close score of 21 points to 18 to Tukala. Coming first for the womens was Christine Ioane with 21 points to 15 for Joy Peyroux.
Mark Blumbsky told BCN news that “with the womens it ended up being a two game final ….joy won the first game 21-7 to force a second game which she lost 21-15.” He also said it was “Great games , Very close . TK was awesome !!!!”
