Taliu Tohovaka: 2020 Dux for Niue Primary School
Taliu Tohovaka, from Makefu is the top student of Niue Primary School for 2020. He is the youngest son of Darren and Folia Tohovaka.
The first runner up to the Dux is Myah Jackson of Huihui, Alofi South and second runner up is Kumimau Jackson of Hakupu.
Families and friends filled out the Multi-purpose hall at Paliati last Friday to witness the prize giving day of Niue Primary school. The crowd broke out in applause when Taliu’s name was called out, some saying because it’s been three years since the last boy took out the top academic prize. The last time a boy was awarded Dux was in 2017 with Kanye Jackson, who is the older brother of this year’s first runner up Myah Jackson.
