NZ Humanitarian and Response team meet Niuean counterparts

A Humanitarian and Response team from New Zealand are on the island on a four days visit. 

The team is led by Nicci Stilwel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Humanitarian and Disaster Management division.

The NZ Humanitarian and Response Mission also includes representatives from the Ministry of Health, NZ Defence Force, Fire and Emergency NZ and Consular and Humanitarian team.

Ian Duncan from Fire and Emergency said this is a great opportunity to meet his counterparts here in Niue.

Looking at the entry points to Niue is a critical aspect of his part in this mission says Colonel Andy Shaw 

The NZ Humanitarian and Response Team to Niue will be leaving the island Friday July 19th.
