Niue USP Alumni panel discussions on Niue Constitution and Self Governance
Last Wednesday, to mark the 49th Constitution celebrations, the University of the South Pacific (USP) Niue Alumni were able to come together for its annual panel discussions based on the Niue Constitution and Self Governance, how it started and how its going.
The event took place at the Taoga Niue Auditorium. There were a total of six panellists including three former MPs and two curent Common Roll Members.
The panel included former Common Roll MP and former Member of Parliament for Tuapa Fisa Pihigia, former MP for Alofi North Va’aiga Tukuitoga, and Maihetoe Hekau was a former Common Roll Member.
Other panellists also included current Common Roll MPs Hon. O’love Tauveve Jacobsen and Hon. Billy Graham Talagi.
The President of the Niue Alumni for USP was former Common Roll MP and lawyer Mr Togia Sioneholo.
The moderator of the panel talks was Senior Producer and Reporter of the Broadcasting Corporation of Niue Esther Pavihi.
Although there were not as many who attended the panel discussions, there were a lot more watching the livestream broadcasted by RockSteady Entertainment on island and overseas.
There were many interesting discussions and interests from the panel and audience who attended the event.
The USP Niue Alumni are looking forward to holding another panel talk in the near future as there was a lot of interest from the people to hold another panel discussion.
