Covid-19 update: 1 new household case and 2 recovered cases

The island detected one new household case of Covid-19 as of last Saturday 9th of July at 6pm, according to the Niue Covid-19 website.  

Two of the cases also recovered from the previous week’s active covid cases, according to last Saturday’s latest update.

The current total number of active cases on the island detected at the borders is at 5. 

The island remains on Alert Code Yellow as there is no community transmission. 

Health and government officials continue to advise members of the public to maintain good personal hygiene, practice social distance, stock up on PPE and essential resources, and be prepared for alert level changes.

A total of 93 passengers arrived on today’s third QFT flight, according to Peleni’s Travel Agency.
