A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR NIUE LAND AREAS: A trough of low pressure with associate cloud and showers continues to affect the island. Meanwhile, an easterly winds flow prevails over the island.

Forecast to midnight tonight for Niue: Moderate to fresh easterly winds, gusty at times. Cloudy with occasional showers, heavy at times.
Further outlook: Easterly winds 30 to 40 km/hr. Cloudy with occasional showers, heavy at times.
