Village Inspection team continues this week

n the lead up to next month’s 50th constitution celebrations with many visitors and dignitaries expected to visit the island, the villages have been working hard to clean up as part of the government’s village inspection programme led by the Department of Health. 

The Village Inspection Team were in Tuapa Village on Tuesday  doing house to house visits in the area.

The Village Inspection program that began in May this year aims to promote a healthy and clean living environment for everyone on the island.

In the lead up to next month’s 50th constitution celebrations with many visitors and dignitaries expected to visit the island, the villages have been working hard to clean up as part of the government’s village inspection programme led by the Department of Health. 

BCN News caught up with the Acting Director of Health-Grizelda Mokoia on Tuesday as  she shares more about the village inspection Progarmme. There are a total of 11 departments, however due to less staff in ceratain departments not all were involved in the Program.

Grizelda highlighted some of the things they look for when doing their house to house inspections. 

She is grateful for the initiative an support shown by all the Villages since the programme began in May this year.

The last two villages to be inspected are Alofi North which was done today and next week for the village of Alofi South.

 Two days are allocated starting on scheduled for Tuesday the 17th and Wednesday the 18th of September.
