Annual World Vaka Fishing Tournament Kicks off
Tournament Organiser-Niue Tourism is thankful for all the sponsors and is encouraging the public to come to the Sir Roberts Wharf to check out the weigh Ins from those participating.
The Fishing tournament began last Saturday and will end this Wednesday.
The Rheem & Plumbing World Vaka Fishing Tournament began last Friday with locals been encouraged to participate in.
Niue Tourism Director-Micah Fuhiniu-Viviani says the event has been running for several years now with the Vaka event included to encourage Traditional fishing as well.
There are about 12 Anglers from abroad and over 20 local Vaka that have registered for the tournament.
