Niuean author launches second book

The Niue Art Festival last week included the launch of “Tales of Niue Nukututaha,” a new bilingual (Niuean and English) book featuring Niuean stories and history.
Author Zora Feilo says the book was her reinterpretation of Niuean myths and legends, offering a unique perspective on the island’s rich cultural heritage.
The book contains 12 made up tales of Niue that was first published in 2019 in Auckland.
“The tales is about the island, the people, the seas, land, adventures and different themes,” she said.
She has been attending the Niue Arts Festival since it began and it was only fitting to come back to Niue and launch her second book this year. She was accompanied by her family as well.
“Its amazing as I have been to the past six Niue Arts Festival and for me its always important to be home and to be part of the festival,” she added.
Zora also signed books with every purchase during the launch as a crowd gathered at Tahiono Gallery in Alofi.



The book is available for purchase at $50 per copy at the gallery.
