The much anticipated Niue Chamber of Commerce (NCOC) International Women’s Day -Business Networking Event will be held tomorrow afternoon at the Scenic Matavai Resort.

NCOC Chief Executive Officer-Catherine Papani says the event is more than just a business networking evening—it is a time for women to come together, uplift one another, and strengthen both old and new connections.

“While the event has always been open to men, we recognize and appreciate the many fathers, husbands, and partners who support their loved ones by caring for the children while the women take this well-deserved time out. We’ve also seen mothers bring their daughters along, creating a beautiful opportunity to inspire future generations.” she said.

Papani added that regardless of whether we are in business, government, faith-based organizations, or community leadership, we all have a role in accelerating action for women’s empowerment. Now, more than ever, we must commit to supporting, mentoring, and creating opportunities for women in business and leadership.

Since 2019, the Niue Chamber of Commerce has proudly hosted this annual event, making this their 7th year of celebrating the vibrant and inspiring women of Niue. Each year they reflect on the diverse and dynamic nature of our women by changing the color of the celebration. This year’s theme is ACCELERATE ACTION” with the color Green.

They thank all their development partner -MFAT-NZ and the Government of Niue for the ongoing support to the Niue Chamber of Commerce but more so to our NCOC members.

Although International Women’s Day was commemorated globally on March 8th, the event was moved for tomorrow due to ongoing renovations at the Scenic Matavai.
