Hikutavake kicks off village show day for 2025

Locals and visitors from as far as Germany had an opportunity to browse through the many varieties of food and handicraft products on display last Saturday.

It’s been years since she attended a village showday for Mokaolesifa Viliamu who is here from abroad for a family reunion. Hailing from Alofi South, it was a special occasion for her to be part of the Hikutavake showday with her family.

Prime Minister-Dalton Tagelagi said everyone is always welcome to the showdays. Also present was speaker of the House-Hima Douglas, Minister Crossly Tatui, Minister Sonya Talagi and Hikutavake MP- Ian Hipa.

Also making a special appearance were the New Zealand  artist duo ” the Church Boiiz” who serenaded the crowd to their feet. Speaking to BCN News, the duo are happy to be back home reconnect ing to their roots and spending time with their families.
