Telecom Niue rolls out four main projects for 2025
Telecom Niue CEO-Anurag Tandon has revealed four major projects for this year that includes the expanding coverage around the BCN site

Telecom Niue Chief Executive Officer-Anurag Tandon has enjoyed living and working in Niue as his contract comes to an end in July.

He has revealed four major projects for this year with the expanding coverage around the BCN site, strengthening the network in Alofi, bringing more reliable services to the villages, and laying the groundwork for the future-as part of this long-term vision Telecom Niue will continue work on the second island fibre ring.
He says their main project is the installation of optical fiber in the villages that will bring more reliable services to this area.
Staff shortage is always a challenge. Telecom Niue currently has a staff of 28.
“Manpower is a challenge which all of us on the island face, so all of this projects especially the roll out off the fiber is manpower intensive so we we need at least six to eight personnel deployed to roll out the fiber, to dig the trench, cover it up. So the progress is much slower then what we had anticipated.” he said.
Tandon says they are trying to automate things as much as possible bringing in machinery to work at a a faster pace but this still remains a challenge.
