Niue will host the annual Ministerial Forum Fisheries Committee (FFC) officials meeting in May.
As one of only two female Fisheries Ministers in the region, Minister for Fisheries-Hon. Mona Ainu’u says they are looking forward to hosting this event.
She has also confirmed the other only female fisheries Minister from Fiji-Hon. Alitia Bainivalu will be in attendance.
The meeting will bring together fisheries officials from the 17 Members of the Pacific Islands Forum Fisheries Agency as well as observers from regional and international organizations, to deliberate and agree on ways forward for Pacific tuna fisheries.
Solomon Islands hosted last years event.
