Japan trip a great learning experience for students

A group of 4 students and 2 teachers from Niue High School (NHS) are currently in Japan as part of the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths” program (JENESYS).

NHS Teacher -Jack Feleti told BCN News the students are well and enjoying themselves.

Feleti said so far their itinerary has been full of activities with visits to historic sites like Sensoji Temple in Tokyo, Kitsuki Castle and the Jigoku Meguri hot springs in Oita and many more. 

This is the first time the group is visiting Japan.The four students are Andahlin Pita, Ola Grace Viviani, Luke Mautama and Zinedune Ioane with staff Chaperones- Jack Feleti and Showena Tanaki Aue.

The JENESYS program aims to enhance the interest and understanding of Japan amongst talented young people from the Asia-Pacific region by having them engage in activities that upgrade their experience through the program. It also focuses on strengthening the foundation of friendly relationship and diplomatic relations amongst the related countries.

The group returns home this Friday.
