Stern warning from DAFF
This was after an illegal breach occurred over the weekend, where two mahogany trees of high quality were unlawfully cut down and removed
The Department of Agriculture,Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) in a public notice on their Facebook page on Monday is reminding the public the Mahogany trees located at the airport vicinity is Government owned property and includes everything on that land.
This was after an illegal breach occurred over the weekend, where two mahogany trees of high quality were unlawfully cut down and removed.
DAFF has notified Police of this matter and investigations are underway.
They are reminding the public that no unauthorized civilian is permitted into the area, if caught trespassing there will be severe consequences.
