Six locals have been awarded with a Manaaki Scholarship from the New Zealand High Commission.

The Manaaki Scholarship offers professional development training in New Zealand in areas such as trade and diplomatic relations to support and strengthen career pathways into Niue’s public and private sectors.

Recipients include Brittany Leomotu and Dianne Poumale for Public Sector Leadership, Aytron Tatui and Jiare Rigamoto for Trades Policy and Catherine Ikitule and Chamberlin Pita on Pacific Diplomatic Training.

Awardees were acknowledged in a ceremony at Tapeu Hill last Tuesday. NZ High Commissioner Mark Gibb spoke to BCN News regarding this.
