A review into the constitution for the Niue Island Sports and Commonwealth Games Association (NISCGA) is still ongoing.
This was confirmed by Niue Powerlifting Federation President-Tony Edwards and adds the association expects to have a draft by the end of the year.
Consultations were conducted by representatives from the Commonwealth Games Federation who visited in August.
It involved sporting bodies from across Niue. It’s hoped a new framework will help build Niue’s sporting bodies and encourage more youth into sports.
Meanwhile Edwards hopes more youths show keen interest in taking up Powerlifting on the island and to compete in the regional and international levels.
