Workshop to help move global ocean leadership forward

A three day workshop was held recently by the Niue Ocean Wide – NOW Trust with their partners at the Conservation International.

Niue Ocean Wide Trust Project Manager-Brandon Pasisi said its the coming together with their partners and various stakeholders to further discussions and conduct trainings on their long term goals for the TRUST.

The workshop is focused on further developing the initiatives on the ground, and further progress the objectives of the work they do and helping to move forward their global ocean leadership through the Niue Ocean Wide Trust and Ocean Conservation Commitment. 

With over 20 years of experience in project design, program development and grant-making, Chris Stone of Blue Nature Alliance shares more about the training and its significance.

Pasisi added they will finalise the operation manual and putting together the spending plans on what the TRUST will fund.

The Blue Nature Alliance is a global partnership that aims to catalyze the conservation of 18 million square kilometers of ocean in five years and is a collaboration led by Conservation International.
