Power outages continue to affect the island. Power went out around 11pm on Tuesday night but was restored several hours later to the southern side of the island.
Meanwhile, power remains out from Matalave to Liku since Tuesday night.
Last night there was another island-wide outage. People took to social media complaining about the continuous power outage.
At 10pm last night, power was restored to the whole of the southern feeder to Hakupu but only managed to restore power to Matalave, Tuapa.
The message from the Department of Utilities and Niue Power was issued just after 10pm last night.
The villages from Namukulu, Malekau, Hikutavake, Toi, Mutalau, Lakepa and Liku remain without power.
The Niue power team took a much needed break last night and will continue today to find the fault on the northern feeder so power can be restored to the other six villages.
