Niue Police undergo Police Safety Programme training
7 Niue Police officers completed the training last Thursday with presentation of certificates
The Niue Police Department has been undergoing a two week Police Safety Programme training with the Royal New Zealand Police College on the island.
Senior Sergeant of the Royal New Zealand Police college -Katherine Raines said the training consisted of defensive tactics using handcuffs, pepper spray and batons.
Niue Police officer Steward Siakifilo says his learnt a lot during this two weeks training.
Niue Police Chief-Timothy Wilson has thanked the Royal NZ Police with the donations of handcuffs, baton and whole new gear kits to the department
