Aliutu Women’s Group launch a collection of stories in book
The group also launched a Book titled “Aliutu and Me-50 years Celebration” a collection of stories from the women of Aliutu and pictures from important events that they were a part of.
The Aliutu Women’s Group hosted a high tea event last Monday as par tof the 50th anniversary celebrations calendar of events.

Group President-Manasofai Talagi said it was about the ladies sharing about their lives on the island as it is the 50th year of Pulefakamotu.
“Telling the ladies to write anything about themselves on the book their lifetime, time spent in Aliutu-Alofi South because its the 50th celebration of Pulefakamotu in Niue so you have to think about your life because we are not gonna be here in another 50th for the Pulefakamotu so we wrote all this in the book,” Talaagi said.
Present at the event was Niue Prime Minister-Hon.Dalton Tagelagi, NZ High Commissioner to Niue-HE Mark Gibb, Australian High Commissioner to Niue-HE Katy Stuart and Director of Tagoa Niue-Moira Enetama.
Talagi thanked her husband Maru Talagi, Birtha Togahai who compiled the book and Alana Fiafia Rex.
