Pacific Regional Cohort Workshop focused on accessing financial support from CGF
NDA Focal point and Director of the Government Project Management Unit-Felicia Talagi said the session is an opportunity to hear from other regional participants their experiences on accessing financial support from the Green Climate Fund.
A Pacific Regional Cohort 2 workshop is currently being held this week at the Matavai Resort bringing together eighth Pacific countries representatives including the Maldives.
The week-long event was officially opened by Prime Minister Dalton Tagelagi last Tuesday and organized by the Niue Government through the National Designated Authority (NDA) through the Green Climate Fund Readiness Preparatory and support Programme.
The main objective of the workshop is to build a community of practice for National Designated Authorities (NDAs) to strengthen engagement with the Green Climate Fund and recognised entities for climate action.
South Pacific Regional Environment Programme’s Deputy Director General-Easter Chu Shing explains they are the delivery partner for GCF and working closely with Niue for their Readiness Program.
