7th Pacific Media Summit underway this week

The summit is the largest meeting of news and media practitioners and news outlets in the Pacific, hosted by the Niue Media Association in collaboration with the Government of Niue and the Pacific Islands News Association. 

The 7th Pacific Media Summit begins this week, with this years theme Charting A Resilient Future: “Navigating Media Freedom, Artificial Intelligence and Geo-Political Interest”

BCN News spoke with PINA’s Manager and organizing committee member  for the event-Makereta Komai said she is happy to be back on the rock and is looking forward to up to 90 participants from across the region converging here. 

She shares that for the very first time they will be introducing an App where participants can access all the relevant information about  the event.

Komai a former Veteran Fijian journalist, highlighted  some key areas of discussions during the summit.

There are Pre-Summit workshop currently happening with the official summit beginning tomorrow at the Matavai Resort.
