A performing Arts Workshop was held last Tuesday afternoon at the Hakupu Hall.
Award Winning playwright-Leki Jackson-Bourke and Actor -Haanz Fa’avae Jackson who both have links to Niue facilitated this session.
Their main message to the kids and young people on the rock is that representation and the value of their art and culture is important.
Minister of Social Services-Hon Sonya Talagi was grateful to the duo and their team for taking time off to conduct a session on their work and achievement as artists.
Leki is the first Pasifika playwright to win the Creative New Zealand Todd New Writers Bursary Grant in 2018 and co-authored the successful Inky Pinky Ponky play in 2015.
