Niue establishes Diplomatic Relations with Marshall Islands Government

Tagelagi said Niue is committed to deepening our relationships with our fellow small island states, and part of our goal is to formally establish diplomatic relations with all the members of our Forum family.

The Government of Niue has officially established diplomatic relations with the Government of the Republic of the Marshall Islands.

The formalization took place during the 53rd Pacific Islands Forum held this week in Tonga.

Premier- Hon. Dalton Tagelagi, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Hon. Kalani Kaneko, signed a Joint Communique that  initiates diplomatic and friendly relations between the two nations, grounded in a mutual commitment to promoting international peace and security.

Tagelagi said Niue is committed to deepening their relationships with our fellow small island states, and part of our goal is to formally establish diplomatic relations with all the members of our Forum family.

The Government of Niue looks forward to fostering strong and productive relations with the Government of the Republic of the Marshall Islands.
