Road Work Update from China Railway First Group (CRFG), the installation of street lights is almost finished and work is currently underway for the road marking in various areas around Alofi.
A kind reminder to all road users to slow down and be aware of heavy machinery operating in these areas.
Meanwhile Telecom Niue CEO-Anurag Tandon has confirmed the continuing work on the roll-out of the second Island fiber .
Tandon says this project is to rollout a large capacity of optical fiber ring to connect all the Telecom Niue sites and the Government of Niue departments. The estimated timeline for completion of the project is about 24 months.
He adds the longer term use of this high capacity optical fiber cable will bring fiber to premise( FTTH/FTTP) and connect all homes and business to fiber.
