The Niue Government announced last week that Niue has been honored with two prestigious awards from the International Longevity Center in the United Kingdom for its contributions to healthy aging.
The bronze medal award for Race Walking, under the Physical Activity & Life Expectancy category, highlights Niue’s level of physical activity among its adult population.
The Premier of Niue-Hon. Dalton Tagelagi expressed immense pride in these achievements, stating he wanted to extend his gratitude to the Department of Health, especially the Public Health Division and the people of Niue for their tremendous efforts.
The Government of Niue extends its appreciation to Dr. Dean Rex, Special Envoy for Global Engagement for accepting the award on behalf of the government. .
