India’s High Commissioner to Niue visits for the first time

She shared more on the various projects that the Indian Government will be providing to Niue that includes the solar installation at the Fale Fono II and other upcoming projects.

The non-resident Indian High Commissioner to Niue-Her Excellency- Neeta Bhushan was on the island over the weekend and spoke to BCN News yesterday about her visit. 

Bhushan spoke on the meeting she had with Niue Priemier-Hon Dalton Tagelagi and other Ministers. She also visited the India funded project of the Center of Excellence in Information Technology (CEIT) at the USP Campus.

She shared more on the various projects that the Indian Government will be providing to Niue that includes the solar installation at the Fale Fono II and other upcoming projects.

The High Commissioner acknowledged the upcoming 50th Constitution Celebration and emphasized India’s commitment to supporting community projects in Niue. 

She also thanked the Premier for the warm hospitality despite her short visit, and the support accorded to the Indian community on the island. She left the island yesterday.

Bhushan joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1994. As a career diplomat, she has served in
several countries including Japan, Bangladesh, Germany and UAE and U.S. She is based in wellington.
