The Government of Niue welcomed a delegation from the Guangdong Province and the City of Zhuhai last Friday and highlighted the ongoing partnership between Niue and the People’s Republic of China.
The delegation was also part of the Alofi South Village show day where Vice Chairwoman of the Standing Committee of Guangdong Provincial People’s Congress-LIU Yahong presented 25 LED lights to Alofi South and showcased cultural performances by the Zhuhai Performing Arts Group CO.Ltd.
On Monday a handover ceremony was held at the Fale Fono II where WU Lin-Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of Zhuhai Municipal People’s Congress officially handed over 50 elegant wooden chairs to the Niuean Government to honour Niue’s upcoming 50th Constitution celebrations.
Premier of Niue-Hon. Dalton Tagelagi thanked the delegation for their generous contributions and commitment to Niue’s development. Tagelai added that the chairs will be used at the 50th celebration in October this year.
