BCN amongst 6 selected for Aotearoa New Zealand Pacific Regional Media Fund

BCN is amongst this list of the six successful recipients being selected .The docu-series titled Children of Niue is focused on what it means to be Niuean, as the island nation celebrates 50 years of self-governance.

Six Projects have been announced as the successful recipients of funding in the first-ever Aotearoa New Zealand Pacific Regional Media Fund that will create content for audiences across the Pacific and New Zealand with funding from NZ on Air.

Broadcasting Corporation of Niue (BCN) is amongst this list of the six successful recipients being selected .The docu-series titled Children of Niue is focused on what it means to be a Niuean, as the island nation celebrates 50 years of self-governance in October. It is a collaborative production between BCN and Kingston Productions with funding worth $310, 000.

The other five projects for this NZ on Air funding are: A Dollar to Dream by TV3 Samoa and Cadness Street , Paradise in Peril- Arau-ra TV of the Cook Islands and SunPix, Rugby Chiefs: Village Legends by TV1 Samoa and Kava Bowl Media, The Bride Price – Vanuatu by VBTC and Great Southern Television and The War Below: Restoring Hope in the Solomon Islands by Telekom TV and Nine Islands Media. 

The six projects are collaborations between NZ-based film/production companies and six production organizations from the Pacific islands.
