Wednesday’s Road Work Update
The final layer seal from UTUKO Junction to PETA Hill will continue including street light installation and cable trenching in Alofi South and Alofi North.
Pending on good weather today-Wednesday June 26th, work will continue for the final layer seal in ALOFI from FAKALEAINA to Sir ROBERT WHARF. Half of the road will opened. Thee Stop/Go traffic control will be in place. The Public main Entrance/Exit will have a gap.
The Alofi-Liku road, from Tuila Road to the main road will be opened for the westbound to buses, emergency vehicles and residents only – other vehicles will need to detour via Tuila Road. This section of the road will be opened to all traffic traveling eastbound (from Main Road to High School). Traffic control will be in place to guide motorists.

All affected residents are reminded to make arrangements to park their vehicles on the other side of the road construction, where it’s safe to access and avoid crossing the new seal roads.
All road users are asked to avoid these area, slow down and be aware of heavy machinery operating in the area.
