Philippines to focus on more Partnership in Niue
The Ambassador was able to meet with the Philippines community last Wednesday night.
There are about 50 Filipino families on the island.

The Non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to Niue- Her Excellency- Kira Christianne Azucena presented her credentials to Premier Dalton Tagelagi and Ministers of the Cabinet last Tuesday.
BCN News was able to have a sit down interview with the Ambassador last Thursday as she shares more on her first visit to the rock.
The Republic of the Philippines and the Niue Government had officially established diplomatic relations with the signing of a Joint Communiqué on 27th September 2022.
Before this formal establishment, the Philippines and Niue primarily engaged through the Pacific Islands Forum where the Philippines participated as a dialogue partner.
Ambassador Azucena shares more on her meeting with Premier Tagelagi
The Ambassador was able to meet with the Philippines community last Wednesday night with about 50 Filipino families on the island. She was on the island with her family, going on some sight-seeing adventures as well.
Hon.Tagelagi is appreciative of the contributions of the Filipino community to the development of Niue and looks forward to continued relationship and further dialogue.Ambassador Azucena is expected to return to Niue for the 5oth Anniversary in October.
