Pending on good weather today, Tuesday June 25th, the China Railway First Group (CRFG) road work will continue for the final layering of seal in Alofi from the wharf to Tapeu hill. Half the road will be opened with the STOP/GO traffic control in place.
The Alofi-Liku road, from Tuila road to the main will be opened, west bound to buses, emergency vehicles and residents only – other vehicles will need to detour via Tuila Road. This section of road will be open to all traffic traveling east bound (from the Main Road to High School). Traffic control will be in place to guide motorists.
Final layer seal from TAPEU Junction to Amanau. Half Road Open, Half Road closed.
Street light installation and cable trenching in Alofi South will continue.
Road Works from PETA Hill to Paliati has been postponed until further notice.
All affected residents, please make arrangements to park your vehicles on the other side of the road construction, where it’s safe to access and avoid crossing the new seal roads.
